Ed Widmayer

Ed Widmayer is considered a modern master.

Ed studied at the Pratt Institute with Hans Hoffmann in New York and Fernand Leger in Paris.

From here, he held a number of group shows and was selected for a prestigious national exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum in New York City.

Following a period as an award winning artist in the publishing and advertising field, Ed Widmayer moved from Manhattan to the tranquility of the magnificent White Mountains of northern New Hampshire, where he has returned to full time easel painting, selling his work privately to French, British and American collectors.

Ed's medium of choice is oils, a rare choice in a time filled with watercolors and acrylics.

Recently, he joined the William Rugh Gallery of Lancaster, New Hampshire. While visiting this web site you will find a variety of his work. Included are original oils, prismagraphs, and hand-signed, hand-numbered giclée prints.
